My new favorite compressor! I was going to just upgrade the VCA’S on my old DBX 119 compressor but because it was a consumer grade piece and very old the pins didn’t line up. So I decided to build from scratch. I would like to thank Sonic Imagery Labs for the VCA’s, 990 amp, and all the tech support. I also want to thank John Bittner for helping explain some of the circuitry. I was in a bit over my head but it all worked out and it sounds amazing!
I wanted to share something Joe posted to my personal Facebook page the other day. "On John Hesterman’s cd ...man you nailed that Capital Records vintage sound. You’re my hero!! I’m still in awe how you were able to recreate that chamber “A” sound." Thanks, Joe.Your strings set the vibe... great arrangements!
A tribute to our friend, and a fine musician and singer, Tehani Geistlinger, who passed away recently after a battle with cancer. She joined John Hesterman and yours truly in the studio briefly as a member of TRACE. Rest In Pease, Tehani.
Last year I bought a K67 capsule from Mic-parts.com. This year I got the new T3 kit with multiple patterns. I screwed the build up but Ready To Rock Audio bailed me out. It's now in service and sounds wonderful!!
